Cheap Parking – My thoughts so far
Hi guys,
So today i’m going to talk about the thing’s ive learned personally since starting this blog, and then go on to talk about why i think it has given me immense value.
Firstly, i would like to apologize in advance for this being text heavy since most of my posts so far have been either video or audio.
I have no excuses guys, but if i were to say that i currently look like a walking corpse (which is an understatement), then i’m sure a few handful of you will agree to stick to text. Which is cool because it now means that i get to practice typing, which previously, have been wasted on texting on the iPhone and android phones.
First of all guys, can i just say a big thank you to all of you for taking the time to comment on my Facebook page. Since posting a link to the site, i have received a lot of questions from you all, asking me questions with regards to what cheap parking is about and why i’ve chosen to start a site like this. While i can’t give you the real reason why i got into it, my main goal of the site is to voice my own opinion on the subject which inevitably will result in a lot of you disagreeing with me, which has become evident by the responses i’ve got, which i found so funny that i included it as an attachment to the blog. I have made the effort to blur out the names and profile pictures so as to respect the privacy of my friends and family. But with that in mind, i really respect and am happy with the responses you all have given me so far and will no doubt take it all into consideration.
At present, i have no plans on where to take this blog as of yet, but i do have an idea in that the blog will only continue to do well if there’s input from the viewer. Which will now beg the question, how will this be possible?
Well here’s the idea, i have a firm belief (Which is something i’ve emphasized previously), that we are all here to help and aid each other, whether it comes to providing cheap parking, or by simply giving good will to each other in order to help and nourish our lives, both ethically and economically.
So with that in mind, i will continue to create some more videos over the coming weeks based on everyone’s requests and preferences. And i look forward to sharing more with you all soon…
Thanks a lot for the support guys and keep those comments coming.
All the best

Cheap Parking – An interview with David McDonald
So today i had the chance to interview David McDonald, who’s a professional in the area of road rules and regulations and has been in the game of parking control management and clamping for over 5 years.
The things he discussed has made a profound impact on my awareness of what my actual rights are when it comes to parking on the roads and thus making cheap parking a reality.
But most importantly of all, is that most of what he has said are actual facts and coming from actual laws which when taken into account, can make a profound impact on our understanding of what we can and cannot get away with which will further increase the problems rather than decrease it.
The thing to bare in mind which stood out for me personally is as follows:
- If you park on a permit holders zone or pay and display area, and given a fine. You are not held responsible for a ticket if the person who drives the car is not you.
This poses an obvious flaw in the current laws, in that unless they have specific evidence that the person who parked their car is you (which is difficult for the dvla to confirm for certain), then you are entitled to not pay for the ticket… Pretty interesting…
Just one of many interesting issues raised which is worth a listen to…

Cheap Parking – Tip 3: My thoughts and ideas on cheap airport parking
Traveling abroad can be a pain most of the time. Lets face it, you have to worry about packing, checking in, cost of travel and expenses. Now a lot of you would make the assumption that hiring a taxi service would be the best way to go in traveling to and from the airport.
However, what seems to often happen is that a taxi service when collecting you from the airport can often times be a pain, especially after a long flight. And the last thing you need is to wait around to get collected when you’re suffering from jet lag. Now cheap airport parking is very hard to find, which is a good reason why most of you prefer not to drive.
However, i do realize that given the choice to, it would be the best choice instead of having to rely on a person to take you there.
In today’s audio, i discuss a few ideas of my own in how we can all help and benefit each other in providing cheap alternatives so as to avoid the costs of parking in airports completely.
Enjoy,

Cheap Parking – Your questions answered
Hi guys,
So i’ve been getting a load of questions from a few friends and family members about the site and what it’s about, and i figured the best way is to explain is via audio so as to make things easier and less cumbersome to understand.
And also to stand out from all the other cheap parking sites out there that have pages and pages of useless info which quite frankly, takes hours to read and go through…
Feel free to leave comments or questions and i will try to answer them in my next video or audio…
Enjoy

Cheap Parking – Tip 2: How to budget when parking at a ‘pay and display’ zone
You see it every day, you successfully arrive at your destination and rejoice in the fact that the roads are clear and have braved the traffic to get to where you currently are. Only to realize that the area you’re in is in fact a ‘pay and display zone’ with an hourly charge of 4 quid to top the icing on the cake.
This scenario has been like the plague for most of my family members whilst growing up, which increasingly got worse as the years progressed and the currency and cost of living rose to almost ridiculous levels.
What interested me the most about the entire thing was just how creative the people i knew became when it came to budgeting and overcoming road issues.
The best one of all in my mind has to be the ‘pay and display’ trick which my friends and family have now got down to a tee. in fact, some of them have become so good at it that they’ve almost saved enough (on a weekly basis) to bring home the bacon or to go out and spend it on a (no pun intended) beverage of beer on an average night out in London!
Truly fascinating, i have to say. So it then begs the question, How do they do it?
Cheap parking on a non affordable road that contains a ‘pay and display’ machine is no easy feat, but i have taken the time to post up another video to summarize exactly what to do in order to cunningly avoid the traffic wardens and to do exactly what the people i know have been doing for years… And the best part of all, is that it’s perfectly fine… Simply drive your car and come back to the same spot 2 minutes later… If that confused you, all is explained below:

Cheap Parking – Tip 1: How to freely park on a ‘Permit Holders Only’ zone
So today was yet another gloomy day on the roads…
One of the things which really strikes me, when driving in particular is that it has become increasingly difficult to park on the roads. So lets take an example of a quiet nearby street which looks innocent enough. Yet whilst driving along, you then notice right in front of you, a large sign that says:
“Permit Holders Only”
Now i’m sure most of the drivers among you will know just how frustrating this is. But then thinking about it, i realised, that more often then not, the longer i looked for a space to park, the more of a chance i ended up finding one. Not realising why at the time, i then understood why as i was walking towards my car this afternoon…
A clever yet simple way to find long stay parking without having to worry about getting a ticket, being towed away or getting clamped… So without further ado:

Is Cheap Parking necessary?
Ok, so you’ve probably stumbled across this site with the following question:
Is this just another lame Cheap Parking site filled with useless info and padding which i really do not need? I for one understand whole heartedly what it means to trawl through countless pages on where i could find cheap parking spots to park my car. Well the truth is, this site and article is different in a sense that it isn’t filled with technical or statistical info on where to go to look for cheap parking. It’s in fact the opposite.
I know how frustrating it is to park 2 inches off a drive, only to get towed and having to pay £250 fine… Money indeed well spent!
However much i would like to promise you a guarantee that this site will provide you with the best info available on parking cheaply and effectively, i have to be honest and say, that that is simply not true. What i will say however, is that i will provide info, coming from the perspective of a real life living breathing person. So in other words, i will be addressing you, the viewer on all the info i can possibly provide on what it means to be a driver and what it means to find the best parking available and it being affordable, intuitively simple and easy to apply in your daily life, without having to resort to a guide, pointless statistics and maps…
Why am i doing this? Well for one, i believe that we are all here as one, and with that, i also believe that we all have the right to live as economically as possible.
As these articles prosper, i hope to be posting more videos about my thoughts and ideas on what it means to park on the streets and how i go about avoiding the dreaded ‘ticket’. It will be an interesting journey and one in which i hope all of you will be able to relate to.
until next time.
